A BOURNEMOUTH teen and her dad have triumphed on BBC 1’s Pointless.

Daisy Colebeck won an episode of the hit teatime quiz alongside her dad Graham.

The 19-year-old, a Brockenhurst College leaver, defeated three other teams to make the show’s final round.

The duo then selected medieval literature as their specialist subject and came up with three potential answers, which were all titles from Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales – two of which were winning answers.

Scooping the day’s jackpot of £1,250, along with the coveted Pointless trophy, the delighted father-and-daughter team embraced.

Daisy, who is one of the cover stars of the new Brockenhurst College prospectus, said she intended to buy a new bike with her share of the cash prize.

Graham said he would invest his winnings in a new guitar.

The episode was filmed last autumn, just as Daisy embarked on her second year of study at the college, and aired on August 27.

She will now take her place at the University of Oxford, where she will study Biochemistry.

Earlier this month, Daisy secured her place at the prestigious seat of learning by achieving exemplary A Level results.

She secured an A* in Biology, an A* in Maths, an A in Chemistry and an A in her extended project qualification.

Head of marketing and communications at Brockenhurst College, Rebekah Donawa, said: “Watching one of our leavers triumph in a very tricky quiz show on national television was exhilarating.

“Daisy is very intelligent, very personable, thoughtful and compassionate – she is a real credit to her family and Brockenhurst College, and we wish her every success in the future.”
