TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman who died following a crash in Lymington.

Hampshire Police were alerted to an incident at 1.54pm involving a blue Vauxhall Meriva and a pedestrian in Milford Road on Tuesday, August 27.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services and members of the public, Dianne Roebuck, 77, from Lymington died at the scene.

In a tribute issued through Hampshire Police, Dianne’s family said: "It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dianne Roebuck, who died unexpectedly on the 27th August 2024 at the age of 77.

"She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren and other members of her family."

A 60 year-old woman from Lymington has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have been passing through the area around the time of the collision and saw what happened or the moments leading up to it.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dash cam footage which could help us with our investigation.
