A WOMAN was sexually assaulted in Bournemouth’s Lower Gardens.
Dorset Police received a report at 3.24am on Sunday, September 1, that a woman was sexually assaulted in the gardens by a man she had met earlier in the evening.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “A full investigation is underway, led by detectives from Bournemouth CID, and a cordon has been put in place to allow for an examination of the area to be carried out.

“The victim – aged in her 40s – is being supported by officers.
“Enquiries are ongoing, including getting a full account from the victim.
“No arrests have been made.”
Police said there will be an increased police presence in the area and local officers can be approached by anyone in the community with any concerns.
A large cordon is in place stretching from the entrance to the Lower Gardens from Exeter Crescent, past the public toilets to the access point at Exeter Lane.
