NO crime was committed when a boat was taken from its dock in Poole, police have said.

Dorset Police received a report that four men had taken a four-berth Regal 28 Express boat out on a number of occasions between July 15 and August 2.

The boat had been docked in Cobbs Quay Marina in Woodlands Avenue.

The owner of the boat also reported that they had been fraudulently charged £400 for the cost of fuel used to power it.

Police issued CCTV images of four men they wanted to speak with as part of their enquiries.

In an update given on Monday, September 2, Dorset Police said the men had been identified.

A spokesperson for the county force said: “Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, four men have been identified and it was ascertained that no crime was committed.”
