NEW Forest District Council (NFDC) is seeking residents’ comments as part of their Polling Districts and Places Review consultation.

The consultation offers an opportunity for residents to provide feedback on the current polling stations and suggest improvements to ensure they meet the needs of all voters.

The Polling Districts and Places Review aims to evaluate the suitability of existing polling stations with a focus on their geographical location, accessibility, and the facilities they provide.

NFDC is particularly focused on understanding and addressing the needs of residents with disabilities or mobility challenges.

The consultation is open to all residents of the New Forest district, giving everyone a chance to have their say on how the voting facilities can be improved.

Residents are invited to share their comments and suggestions on the council’s website.

The deadline for submitting feedback is Sunday, September 29.

Following the closure of the consultation, all feedback will be reviewed and collated by NFDC, and a comprehensive report will be produced detailing any proposed changes.

The report will be presented at a full council meeting in December.
