The vacant property, on the remainder of a 189-year lease from 1977 at a peppercorn ground rent, is among 178 lots listed across southern England by Clive Emson Auctioneers. 

Mike Marchant, a senior auction appraiser in Dorset for the firm, said: “Located on the highly sought after Spencer Road in the attractive suburb of Canford Cliffs this ground floor apartment has three bedrooms with generous gardens and off-road parking. 

“Although a flat, the property has its own driveway, parking and front door, with gardens on three sides, and feels very much more like a private home than a typical apartment.

On a 125-year lease from 2022, the vacant property has three bedrooms and is guided at £150,000 to £160,000.

Joe Rocks, an auction appraiser with the regional land and property auctioneers, said: “The maisonette is in a popular High Street location in the centre of Poole, close to local amenities as well as local public transport links. 

“The property has been refurbished with a modern heating system, kitchen and bathrooms and finished in neutral colours. 

“En-suite bathrooms have been installed in both first-floor rooms in an attempt to convert to a five-bedroom property but could be removed to reinstate these rooms back to living and dining rooms.” 

The online auction starts on Monday, September 16 and concludes on Wednesday, September 18.
