A BUSINESS is set to open a new venue in a former bar in Bournemouth town centre that closed earlier this year.
Revolution in Old Christchurch Road closed with immediate effect on April 30 because chief executive Rob Pitcher said younger customers are feeling strained from the cost-of-living crisis.
But now Neos Hospitality is looking to open a new skiing-themed bar called Barbara’s Bier Haus for the prime town centre location.
A planning application submitted to BCP Council includes several alterations to the former Revolution building at number 163-167.
This includes the installation of a “high level” ski gondola and planters and a revamped shopfront with new lanterns and paintwork.
Neos Hospitality is the new name for Rekom UK after its split from Scandanavian owner Danish Rekom Group – the owners of Cameo nightclub in Fir Vale Road.
The Cardiff-based firm runs around 35 clubs and 12 late-night bars across the country, including brands Atik and Pryzm.
Neos Hospitality has been approached for more details.
