A BANK in Bournemouth town centre is closing to undergo building work.
HSBC in Commercial Road will close temporarily while an ATM cash machine is installed at the front of the building.
The newly relocated bank will close at 1pm on Thursday, September 5, and is expected to re-open on Wednesday, September 18.
Rachel Hill, HSBC UK’s local director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one.
"We are pleased that our Bournemouth town centre branch is getting the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.
“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day-to-day transactions, plus mobile and online banking is available 24/7 in addition to being able to call our contact centre."
HSBC will also be hosting community pop up events at the Post Office in Old Christchurch Road.
The events will run between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and between 9.30am and 1pm on a Saturday, from September 6 to 17.
Customers can also continue to use any of the HSBC branches, with Westbourne being the closest branch.
