A MAN has been charged with drugs and assault offences after a reported disturbance.
Police were alerted to a ‘disturbance’ on Barton Court Road in New Milton on September 4 earlier this year.
Scott John William Smith of Barton Court Road was charged with multiple offences in relation to the incident.
Smith was charged with:
• Assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm
• Common assault of an emergency worker
• Criminal damage
• Possession of a controlled drug of Class B
• Racially / religiously aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress – words / writing
• Common assault
Smith is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning (September 6).
