POLICE responded to a concern for welfare call when a woman was spotted on a bridge over the A338.
Officers were called to Springbourne Roundabout, Bournemouth, over the Wessex Way dual carriageway on Sunday evening, September 8.
A witness said they saw a motorist pull over on the roundabout and speak to the woman before the police arrived.
She was brought to safety about an hour after the call came in to the force.
Dorset Police’s spokesman said; “We received a report at 6.08pm on Sunday 8 September 2024 raising concern for the welfare of a woman on a bridge in the area of Richmond Park Close in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended and the woman was spoken to and given appropriate care. They left the scene at around 7.10pm.”
