A MOTORCYLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on a busy road.
The crash involving an Audi A6 and a Suzuki motorcycle happened on the A350 Blandford Road near Beacon Hill.
Police and the ambulance service attended, and the road was closed both ways for several hours following the incident during rush-hour on Monday morning, September 9.
Dorset Police’s spokesman said: “We received a report at 7.31am of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the A350 Blandford Road North in the area of Lytchett Heath.”
The spokesperson said the rider was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life threatening or life changing.
Vehicles were recovered and police left the scene at around 12.50pm.
During the closure, Lytchett Minster School said its L3 and 941 buses were running late as a result.
Morebus added: "A350 closed at Limberlost - X8 and 10 routes will divert via Lytchett Matravers both ways and stops between Jubilee cross and Upton will not be served."
