A WOMAN was sexually assaulted at a park in Bournemouth

The woman was on a bridge with her child when an unknown man touched her on the bottom.

When challenged, the man left the area.

The incident occurred on Duck Pond Bridge in Littledown Park at around 2.45pm on August 29.

The offender is described as a man in his 40s, 6ft and of large build with thick black curly hair on top which is short on the sides.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white T shirt and blue chinos carrying a Lidl plastic bag.

Police Constable Emily Dilke, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have now been able to take a full account from the victim, who has understandably been left feeling very distressed following the incident.

“I am asking for anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.

“I am also appealing to motorists to please check their dashcam footage around the relevant time, as well as residents and businesses in the vicinity who may have captured anything of relevance on CCTV footage.”
