AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a man found unresponsive in his home by his partner.
Max George Bowen, 23, was found deceased after his partner returned home on July 28.
Area coroner for Dorset, Brendan Allen, opened the inquest into his death at Bournemouth Town Hall on September 18.
Coroner’s officer, Emily Elgie, told Dorset Coroner’s Court that Max was born in Southampton on February 1, 2003, and was a student.
Max was last seen by his partner on July 26 at his home address on Brassey Road in Bournemouth.
However, when she returned home on July 28 she found Max unresponsive.
Emergency services were called and paramedics confirmed him deceased.
Police found no third party involvement or suspicious circumstances into his death.
Dr Robert Blahurt conducted a post-mortem examination and found Max’s provisional cause of death to be combined opiate toxicity.
Mr Allen adjourned the hearing for a full inquest on February 6 at 2pm.
He also requested statements from Max’s family, GP local drug treatment services if he was known to them and the police.
