BOURNEMOUTH’S popular Christmas markets will be returning once again this year.

This year’s event will kick-start the festive magic in The Square on Thursday, November 14 with the Alpine Lodge opening at 6pm.

And the 40 chalet huts of the markets will be full open, daily, from Friday, November 15 until Wednesday, January 1.

Featuring local and national traders, the markets will sell a range of unique gifts, crafts and festive treats.

There will be favourites such as hot chocolate from Norris & Binglewort and handmade pizzas by El Murrino.

The market forms a key part of Bournemouth’s festive offering, which also includes the dazzling Christmas Tree Wonderland lights trail and SKATE Ice Rink.

Bournemouth’s favourite choirs and live performers will fill the air with festive music every week, while children’s entertainers and craft classes promises to entertain the kids.

This year, families can enjoy complimentary face painting alongside cookie-making and craft classes and even weekly visits from beloved festive characters.

Children can also take part in the Children’s Trail, which offers exciting weekly giveaways and a grand prize on Christmas Day provided by Shorefield Holidays.

Simon Brooks, director of the market’s organiser Seventa Events, said: “We are incredibly proud as a local events company to bring the Bournemouth Christmas Market back for 2024.

“Seeing people of all ages come together to celebrate the festive season in the market brings us so much joy, and we can’t wait to deliver this magical experience alongside the brilliant teams at Christmas Tree Wonderland and SKATE Ice Rink.

“It’s truly a community celebration, and we look forward to welcoming everyone.”
