A WOMAN has been charged after Ring doorbell footage showed a woman brandishing a knife.
Footage was spread across many Facebook community pages earlier this week appearing to show a woman with a knife knocking on a resident’s door in Upton Road, Poole.
It was claimed that the person in the video had been knocking on several doors while holding a knife during the early hours of September 17.
Poole police officers made an arrest in relation to the video circulating on social media two days later on Thursday, September 19.
A spokesman for the force said: “The suspect spent the majority of the day in police custody while enquiries were carried out.
“The suspect has now been charged with two offences of possessing bladed articles in a public place and bailed to court with conditions.
“These are serious charges and I would urge anyone to think twice about carrying blades in a public place.
“The offence is triable either way. This means that it can be heard at either the Magistrates or the Crown Court. It carries the maximum penalty of four years’ custody.
“Thank you again to the public who contacted us regarding these issues.”
