A HOSPICE is ‘excited’ to announce the return of a ‘serene’ spectacle of candles at Poole Park.

Candles on the Lake is returning to Poole on October 19, taking place on the small lake near The Ark in Poole Park.

The whole community is invited to come along. People can dedicate a message on a candle that will be floated on the lake, creating a “magical and moving display of light and love.”

Musical performances from The Boscombe Salvation Army Band and The Funky Little Choir will set the tone for the evening. Light refreshments will be available for all attendees.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care events fundraiser Anna DuRose said: “This wonderful event offers local people the opportunity to come together to reflect, celebrate, and remember their loved ones by writing a personal dedication on our popular candle boxes, which will be floated in a mesmerizing display.

“Funds raised from our event will enable us to continue offering our Bereavement and Family Support services to local people in our community.”

A suggested donation of £6 per candle will directly support Lewis-Manning's Bereavement and Family Support services.

Anna added: “Special thanks to our headline sponsor, Care South, for supporting our event for yet another year and new sponsor Ives & Shand Funeral service.”
