A CAR that blocked a level crossing on the railway is causing ‘major disruption’ to the network.
South Western Railway reported delays and cancellations of services after a ‘problem’ on the crossing in Brockenhurst.
CrossCountry Trains warned that all lines were blocked after a vehicle was blocking the railway.
It shared on social media: “Due to a road vehicle blocking the railway at Brockenhurst all lines are blocked.”
A spokesperson for South Western Railway said on its website: "We have been informed of a problem at a level crossing at Brockenhurst. This means that trains are currently unable to run through this station.
"To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:
"Cross Country via any reasonable route across the network
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
Passengers at Bournemouth train station reported delays and cancelations.
All lines were reopened at 8.07am however, the disruption has caused further delays.
The network is expected to be disrupted until 3pm.
