A CHURCH in Poole re-opening following a major rebuild project.
The Church of the Good Shepherd has announced the new building in Herbet Avenue will be opened next month.
Over the past year, the original 1931 timber building has been demolished and a new church building built to take its place.
The new church is of a similar shape but is larger, features modern facilities and has a new Minister, the Reverend Debbie Smith.
She said: “It’s a great time to join The Church of the Good Shepherd, as we begin a new phase of church life serving the local community in Jesus’ name.
"We look forward to throwing the doors open on Sunday, October 6, and to a range of events in the opening week and beyond.”
An opening service will take place on Sunday, October 6, at 10.30am, and will be followed by refreshments.
A number of activities have been lined up for the opening week, including a coffee morning on Monday, October 7, and a party and barn dance on Saturday, October 12.
In addition to church events, the new building will be available to hire for a variety of community events.
