BOURNEMOUTH Airport will host a recruitment open day on Tuesday.

Staff from the airport will be at the Village Hotel in Deansleigh Road, near Royal Bournemouth Hospital, between 10am and 2pm on Tuesday, October 1.

A spokesman for the airport said the airport is “excited” to invite people to the open day and added: “This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the roles available, our busy operations and growth plans for 2025.”

The latest push in recruitment comes at a busy time for Bournemouth Airport, with huge expansion plans including a larger terminal currently going through the planning process.

And with extra destinations announced from Ryanair and new to next year Jet2, passenger numbers are expected to 1.1m this year, 1.5m next year and 1.75m for 2026/27.

Jet2, which announced Hurn would be used as its 12th UK base earlier this year, will have three planes flying to 21 destinations for summer 2026.

Steve Gill, managing director of Bournemouth Airport, added that Jet2 has “brought fantastic opportunities” for holidaymakers by providing “even more choice, flexibility and convenience”.

He added: “We are hugely excited about the positive impact this expansion will have for both the airport, passengers and the local economy."
