FLOOD warnings have been issued for Dorset with the Environment Agency warning residents to “take action.”
Following recent heavy rainfall river levels are continuing to rise on the Middle Dorset Stour, Lower Dorset Stour and the Lower Dorset Frome.

It was reported that the flooding could have been possible as of 5pm yesterday evening, with an update coming in today at the same time.
A spokesperson said: "Residents are strongly urged to take action now.
“Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
“Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
“Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water.
