NO arrests have been made more than a month after a man was critically injured in a glassing attack.

The man in his 30s was attacked with a glass bottle during the early hours of August 31 in the area of Poole Hill in Bournemouth town centre.

Police have previously said the victim and the culprit are known to each other, but providing an update said nobody has been arrested.

The victim’s condition, although initially described as life threatening, quickly improved and he was discharged from hospital in the following days.

A spokesman for Dorset Police added the investigation is ongoing.

Speaking at the time of the incident, Bournemouth resident John Cotterill said: “There’s too many incidents happening in recently.

"All these stabbings, bottlings... something needs to be done about it. I worry about my grandkids going out into the town centre.”

Poole Hill resident Sandra out walking her dog said: “It’s getting really bad in Bournemouth.”
