A WOMAN has been arrested after a cyclist was injured following a crash in Bournemouth

Dorset Police were alerted to an incident involving a red Mercedes SLK and a bicycle in Surrey Road.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, sustained injuries that are not described as serious.

A 43-year-old woman from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

She has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

The incident occurred on September 30 at around 4.44pm.

Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
