TWO aid organisations have joined forces to deliver AFC Bournemouth football kits to schoolboy players in Ukraine.
The kits were sourced by Ferndown councillor Simon Cable, who is a long-time supporter of the Cherries and collects donations under the Cherry Aid for Ukraine banner.
New Forest For Ukraine (NFFU) agreed to transport the four pallets of aid, which went to schoolboy players in Ukraine.
And one particular school in Sokal needed something to smile about.
“The school had just posted photos of six former pupils who had died fighting for Ukraine,” explained NFFU volunteer Graham Allen, “And they were making space for four more.”
NFFU said the players were 'thrilled' to wear the Cherries colours in training.
