I SPENT ten days in this area two weeks ago and could not believe the amount of road works being carried out simultaneously!
Not only did they cause enormous traffic jams on almost every dual carriageway in this area by filtering to single lanes again and again but in many cases areas were coned off with either unused maintenance machinery or no work being carried out.
The road repair system appeared to be not thought through and unsupervised.
