HOSPICE STAFF were treated to a complimentary ice cream on their lunch break by a Bournemouth company.
Forest Holme Hospice is dedicated to providing palliative, end-of life-care and support to more than 1,500 people each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, heart disease and respiratory illness.
Ice Cream Bournemouth was asked to stop by Forest Holme Hospice after a request from a patient who was craving a sweet treat on October 3.
The bright yellow ice-cream van parked outside the hospice and decided to offer a random act of kindness.
Not only did owner Rob come and visit, he also supplied complimentary ice cream to all patients, visitors and staff.
Paul Tucker from Forest Holme Hospice Charity, said: " We are so grateful to Rob at Ice Cream Bournemouth for his generosity and his delicious ice cream was hugely appreciated and put a smile on everyone's faces.
“For our patient's best friend to organise such a treat was so lovely and it's these gestures that make such a difference, especially during such difficult times."
