GREEN bin collections in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have risen once again and to record highs.

The fortnightly service will be rising once again in 2025 to £67.50 per bin – up £2 from 2024, £7.50 from 2023 and £21.50 from 2022.

Green-fingered residents are now being urged by the council to register for the service before December 13.

Doing so will ensure all 23 collections next year, running between January 27 and December 12, are met.

Andy Hadley, cabinet member for climate response, environment and energy at BCP Council, said: “The end of the year is fast approaching so make sure you register for a bin before the deadline, so you can make full use of the 2025 service in tackling your garden waste.

“In 2024 we collected more than 11,500 tonnes of garden waste, and we’re hoping to increase this figure in 2025.

“The waste collected gets turned into high-quality compost that is then used in horticulture and agriculture, so not only does it mean you don’t have to dispose of it yourself, but it benefits the local community too.”
