FIVE men have been arrested after a fight in Bournemouth town centre left two people in hospital.

Dorset Police were called to Lansdowne Roundabout, in Old Christchurch Road, at around 7am, on Saturday, October 5.

Officers found three men with injuries.

One with a head injury, another with a laceration and bruising to his face, both of whom were taken to hospital, and a third who had a minor injury to his finger.

Following enquiries five men have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail as the investigation continues.     

Two men aged in their 20s from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing a bladed article in a public place.

Three men from Purbeck and also aged in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of affray and inflicted grievous bodily harm with intent.

Police constable Summer Bryant, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant time to please review any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
