TWO men remain in custody following a crash in Bournemouth which left a pedestrian with life-changing injuries.

The collision, involving a Range Rover and a pedestrian, occurred on Monday night in Etches Close at the junction with Western Avenue.

It was reported the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.

The pedestrian – a man aged in his 20s from Christchurch – was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries.

Following enquiries, two Bournemouth men – aged 20 and 54 – were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and driving offences.

The arrested men are known to the victim.

Giving an update on Wednesday morning, Dorset Police said the arrested men remain in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

There was no update on the victim’s condition.
