A LARGE fight involving weapons and sports equipment broke out in a residential area of Bournemouth

The “large” group were in Viscount Walk, Bearwood, at around 7.20pm on Wednesday, October 9 when the fight broke out. 

Officers called to the altercation have said some of the people involved had a knife, baseball bat or golf club on them. 

A 45-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon and a 16-year-old boy – also from Poole – was arrested on suspicion of affray, assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 

Both remain in police custody at this time. 

Investigations officer Aimee Saunders, of Bournemouth police, said: “Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing.  

“I understand that there were a number of witnesses at the scene who may have seen what happened, so I am keen to hear from anyone who has not already spoken to police. 

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam, home CCTV or mobile phone footage.”
