TWO MEN have now been charged with attempted murder after a man was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries following a serious crash in Bournemouth.

Officers were alerted to reports of a crash on October 7 at 10.10pm involving a black Range Rover and a pedestrian in Etches Close at the junction of Western Avenue.

The occupants of the Range Rover reportedly fled the scene.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries.

Conrad Lee Morgan, aged 54 and of Bournemouth and Vinny Dean Conrad Morgan, aged 20, and of Bournemouth, were arrested in connection with the incident.

Following investigation, they have now been charged with attempted murder, possessing an offensive weapon and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Both men appeared at Poole Magistrates Court on October 11 and will next appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on November 14. 

Detective chief inspector Andy Bell, of BCP CID, said: "Detectives are continuing to support the family of this serious incident and will be out in the community today.

“I would continue to urge anyone with information or footage relating to the incident to contact us in confidence.

"There will continue to be a visible presence over the next few days and officers will be happy for members of the public to approach them to discuss this matter."
