FERNDOWN Town Council and the Royal British Legion have teamed up as part of the annual Poppy Appeal.
A moving parade and ceremony will make its way through the town’s streets on Saturday, October 26, from 10am to 12pm.
As well as the parade, there promises to be speeches from distinguished guests and dignitaries, a special performance by the Bournemouth Youth Marching Band and an opportunity to make the first contributions to this year’s Poppy Appeal.
The town council said: “Join us in commemorating and honouring those who served and help us raise vital funds for our heroes.
“”We are also inviting local businesses to take part in our Window Display Competition to show their support and community spirit. Please see our Facebook page for more information.
“Let’s come together, honour the brave, and make this year's Poppy Appeal launch truly memorable.
“Ferndown Town Council and the Royal British Legion hope to see many members of the Ferndown community there.”
