THOUSANDS of runners flocked to Bournemouth to take part in the annual half marathon and 10k races.
The events took place on day two of Run Bournemouth on October 13, where runners raced from Hengistbury Head to Bournemouth Pier Approach.
Adrian James and Sam Brewer said they "really enjoyed" the 10k race.
"I've done several 10ks in the past but this was my first in Bournemouth," said Adrian.
"I was not expecting it to be the event it was."
Luke McKenzie and Rob Arkell from Poole Runners said they enjoyed the cool weather for their race.
"It went good," said Luke.
"Good weather, it was calm and cold."
Rob said: "It was well organised, it was perfect.
"Everything on schedule, runs seamlessly and lots of marshals so you know where to go."
Jake Moore, Olivia Mooney and Lauren Wright said it was hard but they loved it despite the cold.
Lola House secured a personal best in the 10k race, the day after her little sister took part in the junior event.
Jonathon Coleman was full of smiles after running the half marathon, praising the organisers at Run Bournemouth.
"It is the best half in the country," said Jonathon.
"It is well organised and has great people.
"I just love it here, Bournemouth is great."
Alex Carter completed the race for the first time alongside Grant Gibson, who has five years of experience under his belt.

Alex said: "It was great and the perfect condition for running.
"I like how come round to the pier for the last push, it is a good motivator."
Kathy Dudman aced the half marathon and was joined by 10k participants, Katie Mansfield and Allie Theobled.
Kathy, who is from Salisbury, said she was "really impressed" with the event and the community, adding that she will be returning to take part again.
Mayor of Bournemouth, Cllr George Farquhar also took part in the half marathon race.
