A COUPLE bringing an “exciting” new cafe to Bournemouth is hoping to be part of a positive change to the town centre.
Work is progressing to get Revival Wellness Cafe open in Old Christchurch Road in the former women’s clothes shop JR Fashions that closed in early 2023.
Expected to open this autumn, the cafe is the first in what the couple hope is a long line of “exciting concepts” to come for the pair.
And the couple said they are working BCP Council to “enhance” the town centre’s safety and appeal, which as increased lighting, improved security, graffiti removal and public space improvements.
Matthew Cosier, cafe owner, said: “Amid the challenges facing many high streets today, we believe that Bournemouth is not dying – it's simply been neglected.
“With deep roots in our town, an appreciation for its potential and a passion for its future, we’ve spent countless years supporting local cafés, restaurants, and businesses.
“However, seeing our beloved town filled with shuttered stores and neglected spaces, we knew more had to be done.
“Our love for Bournemouth, combined with a deep-rooted desire for creativity and community, drove us to imagine something new.”
Inspired by the vibrant high streets of other towns and cities such as Dubai, London and Paris, Matthew along with partner Danielle hope the cafe will “breathe new life into the heart of our town”.
Matthew said Revival Wellness Cafe is about “creating an environment where people can unwind, connect, and nourish mind, body and soul”.
He added: “Our meticulously curated menu offers vibrant, wholesome dishes, paired with specialty coffee and the promise of occasional evening events to keep things fresh and exciting.
“Inspired by the aesthetic appeal of cities like London and Paris, we’re bringing a touch of urban charm to Bournemouth, but with a unique, welcoming twist.”
He added: “This project is just the start. Revival Wellness Café is one of the first rejuvenation efforts we’re planning, and with its success, we envision many more exciting concepts to come.
“It’s more than a café; it’s a community hub, a place for people to gather, recharge, and be inspired.
“We invite you to join us on this journey and witness the birth of something truly special. Revival Wellness Café is opening its doors this autumn, and we can't wait to welcome you in.
