A new fish and chip shop has officially opened in Christchurch, taking the plaice of Captain Cod, which closed in July.
The newly renovated chippy on Stour Road has been transformed into Sam’s Fish Bar, a family-run business.
Owner Emre Arslan said he is "excited to take over the location" and is "looking forward to meeting new people."
Sam’s Fish Bar already operates two well-established West Sussex and Portsmouth branches but is new to Christchurch.
Emre explained: “We saw that the previous owner was retiring, so we decided to take over and give it a makeover.
"She had built up a great customer base, and we’re excited to get to know everyone.
“So far, the response from the public has been fantastic, and we've had some lovely reviews online.”
Sam’s Fish Bar offers a wide menu, including rock salmon, halloumi, burgers, and gluten-free options.
