FIREFIGHTERS rushed to the scene of a property fire in Bournemouth.
Holdenhurst Road was temporarily closed this afternoon (October 15) while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Multiple people were able to leave the incident before fire crews arrived to extinguish the blaze.
Dorset Police also attended to assist the fire service.
At the time of the incident, a spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were called at 1.04pm today (15 October) to Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth to reports of a property fire.
“Crews from Springbourne, Redhill Park and Westbourne attended and on arrival multiple people had self-evacuated.
“Two breathing apparatus wearers used one hose reel jet to extinguish.
“Our stop was at 1.47pm and we are now leaving the scene.”
Morebus also warned passengers of delays and diversions, it read: “Due to a building fire Holdenhurst Road has been closed between Wellington Road and Springbourne Fire Station.
“Service 22 will divert from Dorchester House to Springbourne via A338 Wessex Way.”
