A TEENAGER has been arrested following reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and criminality in the New Milton area.

The 14-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday morning, October 13, on suspicion of racially / religiously aggravated harassment with fear of violence, racially / religiously aggravated common assault / beating, criminal damage, aiding / abetting the possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and theft from a vehicle (other than a motor vehicle).

The boy, from Lymington, has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Following the arrest, Lymington and New Milton Police posted on social media: “We will be sure to bring you any further updates on our investigation into these reported incidents, so please stay tuned.

"Please also be sure to continue reporting any incidents to us. We can only ever look to take action against suspects if we're made aware of what is happening where you live."

As reported, several incidents of anti-social behaviour have been reported in the Station Road area in recent weeks. 

Lymington and New Milton Police told residents on October 9 that it was 'taking action', adding: "We will continue to deal robustly with any further incidents of this nature."
