OIL spilled onto an electrical hob in Bournemouth, causing a fire.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze in Bath Road, Bournemouth town centre, at 12.10pm on Wednesday, October 16.
A crew from Springbourne fire station rushed to the scene and found the fire to be already out, but carried out inspections “to ensure the scene would be safe to leave”, the service said.
A spokeswoman said: “The crew from Springbourne fire station were mobilised to a cooker fire at Bath Road, Bournemouth.
“Firefighters raced to the scene and found the fire to be already out, but carried out inspections to ensure the scene would be safe to leave.
“The fire was found to be caused by oil on the surface of the electrical hob.”
