THE FIRE service will remain at the scene of a large blaze in an industrial unit until at least the end of today.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service has been tackling a large fire off Dorchester Road in Sturminster Marshall since at around 8pm on October 17.
Around 45 firefighters were involved in the incident.
Police closed the road between Winterborne Zelston and Winterborne Tomson while emergency services made the area safe.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were called to a site off Dorchester Road, Sturminster Marshall for a large fire affecting an industrial unit.
“At the height of the incident, we had approx. 45 firefighters on scene. The wooden building was fully involved in fire; also affected were multiple tractor units and motorbikes.
“Firefighters have had to maintain a safe distance due to the shed also containing a number of acetylene and LPG cylinders.”
The fire service also issued an update stating that one fire engine will remain in attendance for the rest of today and overnight to monitor the situation due to a number of cylinders being involved in the fire.
Dorset Police's spokesman added: “Officers were called at 8.05pm from the fire service to assist with traffic management.”
