A CAR boot sale has been cancelled this weekend.
Poole Stadium car boot sale will not go ahead on Sunday, October 20 because of the heavy rainfall overnight and today.
Organisers for the car boot sale said: “Poole Stadium car boot is cancelled today, October 20, due to the weather.
“We hope to see you call next Sunday, October 27 (weather permitting).
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
Heavy rain is expected to last until the early afternoon before the sun starts to break through the clouds at about 3pm, the Met Office has said.
Meanwhile, Wimborne Minster Town Council has also had to cancel its mayoral walk in the town this morning also due to the weather.
And the British Masters Grass Track which was due to be held in Corfe Mullen today had also been postponed to next Sunday, October 27 due to the rain.
A spokesman for the event said: “We understand this may not suit everyone and we can only apologise for any bookings or arrangements that may have been made, but as you can understand this decision has been taken out of our control due to the weather.
“The track is ready to race, and despite 200 track mats being laid for venue access, it’s still too high a risk to get vehicles into the event.”
