ANOTHER fire was believed to have been started in Princess Road overnight.

Firefighters were called to extinguish a bin at the entrance of Princess Gardens in the Branksome road in the early hours of Sunday, October 20.

Footage captured by a resident shows bright orange flames spewing from the bin.

The latest fire is the latest in a series of fires in Princess Road.

In just one month, two vans, a car and another bin have been torched previously - the charred remains of which remain in the road.

Residents have previously told the Echo they are now “living in fear” amid what they believe is not random fires but targeted arson attacks.

Dorset Police has been keeping an open mind about the cause of the fires, saying residents can approach patrolling officers with concerns.

Ward councillor Matt Gillett said he has reported incidents to BCP Council’s anti-social behaviour (ASB) team.

He said: “I’d urge anybody who wants to contact me or feel they have any input into it to speak with me. I’d be very happy to take on their concerns.”

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for a comment.
