A PONY has died following after being struck by a car near New Milton.
Officers attended the incident and a pony was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on Tuesday, October 22.
The road was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "We were called at 6.48am this morning to a collision on Station Road, Burley.
"The collision involved a car and a pony.
"Sadly the pony died at the scene."
The condition of the driver is unknown.
