A PERSON has been recovered from the water after emergency services rushed to Poole Quay.
It was reported that police, the RNLI, ambulance service, Coastguard and fire service were all at the scene shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, October 22.
A business manager on the quay said it was the ‘quickest response he had ever seen’ as emergency services filled the quayside.
It is understood that a person fell into the water and was later recovered and placed in the care of the ambulance service.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13:26hrs on Tuesday 22 October to an incident in Poole.
"We sent one double-crewed ambulance, a critical care car and an operations officer to the scene”.
The RNLI said: "Poole inshore lifeboat was requested to launch by UK coastguard at 1.30pm (Tuesday 22 October) to an incident on Poole Quay."
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 1:12pm today to assist Police with an incident at Poole Quay.
"One fire engine along with the technical rescue team from Poole attended and assisted Police and the RNLI with a rescue from water.
"Our stop came through at 2:08pm."
Dorset Police have been contacted for a comment.
