ROAD closures along the A338 Spur Road next month will bring disruption to motorists.
Planned maintenance work along the busy dual carriageway will start on Monday, November 4 and last until Friday, November 8.
Workmen will be alongside the dual carriageway doing carriageway maintenance and gully clearing works.
To facilitate the work, closures will be in place every night between 9pm and 6am.
On the nights of November 4 and 5, the Spur Road will be closed southbound between Ashley Heath Roundabout and Blackwater Junction.
And then on the nights of November 6 and 7, the road will be closed northbound between the same junctions.
Dorset Council said: "A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.”
The diversion is via the A31 to Tricketts Cross, through West Parley, through Hurn and back at Blackwater Junction to rejoin the A338 Wessex Way.
The road will be fully open from 6am on Friday, November 8.
