VANDALS broke into a Bournemouth park and did doughnuts, causing serious damage to the grass.
Police officers are now investigating the incident at Redhill Park which has left tyre grooves on the ground.
Ward councillor Steve Bartlett said damage to the grass by vehicles has been an “ongoing problem”, with this being the second time it has happened recently.
The independent Redhill councillor said: “I’ve no idea who is doing this but I suspect it’s the same people because they entered the park at the same place and the same position.
“And the pattern is very similar to the last time it happened.
“I’ve reported this to the police, the tracks are much more severe and deep than previously, but it shouldn’t take too long for the council to fix it; it’s relatively minor.”
A spokesman for Bournemouth police said officers have been made aware and encouraged people with information to report it to the force.
He said: “Bournemouth North neighbourhood policing team is aware of recent damage caused at Redhill Park.
“We're committed to keeping our community safe and looking into this incident further.
“We encourage anyone with information to come forwarded - even the smallest details could make a big difference. If you saw or heard anything please reach out to 101 or Dorset Police website online.”
