BOURNEMOUTH Fireworks will light up the skies this weekend.

The popular firework display returns to Littledown on Saturday, November 2, with three events in one night.

Displays will take place at 7pm and 8pm, followed by the White Knuckle at 9pm.

The White Knuckle is billed as the ‘latest and loudest fireworks display in the south’.

Michael Callaghan, event director, said: "It’s much more than a fireworks show, it’s a brilliant family night out that has been part of Bournemouth’s Bonfire Night celebrations for more than a quarter of a century.

“We see new people every year, but there are loads of folks that come year after year – including people that came as kids in the early years that are still coming and bringing their own children now.”

Tribute band Oasiss will headline the live music arena, plus there will be a funfair, free have-a-go sports sessions for children and a free family indoor zone with a bouncy castle, dance workshops and performances by the Revolution Cheerleading Academy.

Gates open at 5.30pm with collection baskets for the RNLI by all entrances.
