THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

TALAL ALSHAIR, 24 and of Oxford Road in Bournemouth, was found guilty of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress in Bournemouth on February 13. Alshair admitted failing to surrender to police / court bail at the appointed time at Poole Magistrates’ Court on October 21. Alshair was fined £660, ordered to pay £500 compensation, a victim surcharge of £265 and costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service. He was also handed a restraining order.

ALEX DARLOW, 23 and of Crest Road in Poole, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Bournemouth on September 3, 2023. Darlow was conditionally discharged for a period of 18 months. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £26.

LESLIE JONES, 65 and of St Ives Park in Ringwood, was found guilty of harassment without violence in St Ives Park in Ringwood between February 1, 2022, and August 5, 2023. Court records show she pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman, namely shone a torch into her car, made abusive comments and gesticulations, and drove past her address on multiple occasions. Jones was handed a community order lasting until October 24, 2025, and a restraining order lasting until October 24, 2026. Jones was also fined £300, ordered to pay £500 compensation, a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £361 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

DARREN HILL, 47 and of Norrish Road in Poole, admitted theft - other - including theft by finding, namely stealing timber to the value of £400 from Jewsons in Wimborne Road West in Canford Bottom on July 31. Hill was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £40 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

KIERAN JENKINS, 20 and of Leigh Road in Wimborne Minster, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Poole Magistrates’ Court. The community order was varied to include new requirements, including a requirement to complete 220 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

BENJAMIN THOMAS ERIC CHURCH, 35 and of Vesey Court in Bampton, was found guilty of failing to give information to Dorset Police on September 17, 2023, relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Church was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months. He was also fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £85.

OLIVER JONES, 34 and of Herberton Road in Southbourne, admitted using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance, two counts of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit, namely Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol and Benzoylecgonine, and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence in Ling Road in Poole on January 28. Jones was handed a community order lasting until April 27, 2025, and disqualified from driving for 36 months. Jones was also fined £40, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

JASON HEAD, 58 and of Rutland Road in Bournemouth, admitted possession of a controlled drug of Class B, namely 12.25g of Cannabis, in Bournemouth on February 13. Head was fined £80, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

ASHLEY LACEY-PRING, 29 and of no fixed address, admitted using threatening / abusive words / behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, criminal damage to property valued under £5000, and two counts of assault by beating at Flirt Café in Bournemouth Triangle on February 29. Lacey-Pring was fined £150 and ordered to pay £915.25 compensation.
