Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Alfie

Age - 11 years old

Breed - Beagle crossbreed

Colour - White

If you want to adopt Alfie you can view their full profile here.

Alfie is described as an "adventurous" beagle who knows some basic cues and "has lots to woof about to whoever will listen".

He came into the care of the RSPCA after being abandoned in a property for several days, so there is not much known about his previous history.

Initially, Alfie will require someone home for most of the day, but once settled into a routine he may be okay to be left for a few hours.

He would be able to live with older teenage children but could not share a home with a cat.

Devitto

Age - Two years old

Breed - Rottweiler

Colour - Black and Tan

If you want to adopt Devitto you can view their full profile here.

Devitto is a dog who's had a bit of a rough start to life but has shown improvement since being rescued by the RSPCA.

He's said to be a "clever boy" who loves training, especially when treats are involved.

Devitto would make a great companion for someone who enjoys helping a dog learn and grow.

Due to the possibility of limited socialisation or negative experiences in his past, he'll need a home where he's the only dog.

The RSPCA adds: "He walks beautifully on a lead and can be walked around other dogs, but he's uncomfortable with off-lead interactions.

"Due to the risk of off-lead dogs running up to him, he will have to wear a muzzle when in public places."

Devitto is ready to join a family that will give him the love, structure, and patience he deserves.

Cassie

Age - 14 years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Tortoiseshell

If you want to adopt Cassie you can view their full profile here.

Cassie is an older cat who is looking to find a nice quiet home to spend her days in.

She can be shy when meeting new people and she may benefit from a quiet room to call her own when she first moves into a new place.

Cassie isn't keen on being picked up and prefers to come over to you, but overall does like company.

She could live with older teens who are calm and gentle around cats and would need to be the only pet in the home.

Moana

Age - Eight years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Grey and White

If you want to adopt Moana you can view their full profile here.

Moana came into the care of the RSPCA from a multi-cat household with limited socialisation.

As a result, she is quite shy and would be best suited to joining an adult-only home.

She would need to be kept indoors initially for a good while so that she gets used to her home and feels comfortable.

However, once she gets to know you she does love to be stroked on her cheeks and will give you headbumps.

Quincy

Age - Six years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black and White

If you want to adopt Quincy you can view their full profile here.

Quincy came into the care of the RSPCA when a member of the public sadly found him abandoned in a carrier.

He was a bit wary when first coming into the centre but his behaviour has improved since then.

Quincy prefers being stroked on his terms and will let you know when he needs a break.

He could live with children of secondary school age as well as a single friendly cat or a single dog that has been used to living with a cat.

Hebe is a rabbit who enjoys being groomed and is happy to accept a bit of fuss. Alongside that, she is a big fan of her food and veggie time.
