A SEASIDE pub has plans to revamp its outside seating area.
Haven House Inn & Café at Mudeford Quay wants to add a retractable louvered roof to an existed terrace area located south of the building.
The proposals, submitted to BCP Council in a planning application, aim to ‘improve and provide cover to the existing terrace’.
Permission is sought for a new powder coated aluminium, flat retractable louvered roof system with glazing on two sides, a small fixed roof section with flashing and infills, a new door with fire exit door hardware, and the redirection of two steps to comply with fire safety regulations.
The existing terrace covers an area of 45.56 square metres, and is currently uncovered.
Applicant Christchurch Catering Co. Ltd said the proposed roof will ‘will not affect the special character of the conservation area’.
BCP Council is yet to make a decision on the planning application.
