AN EAST Dorset fireworks event offering ‘the very best of local food’ returns this weekend.
For its 22nd year, Sixpenny Handley will be filled to the brim with pyrotechnics for the Fireworks Spectacular on November 2 at Church Farm Campsite.
Food such as BBQed burgers and sausages and drink from Cranborne Chase Cider will also be available.
Rob Easton, Scout Leader at 1st Woodcutts and part of the Firework Spectacular team, said: “We are very lucky to have an amazing group of volunteers with a broad range of skills.
“It means we can put on a fantastic evening with food and entertainment that is hard to beat. For example, the cider served on the bar is from award winning Cranborne Chase Cider, founded by Bill Meaden, one of our former Scouts.
“The burgers and sausages on the BBQ are from the local butchers, Clarkes and Sons, and Steve and Lee Judd at Church Farm Campsite generously allow us the use of the field, which is the perfect setting for the display”.
The arena is open from 5.30pm and tickets can be purchased from Budgens and Clarke the Butchers in Sixpenny Handley, and Chettle Shop or on the gate.
