DRIVERS are being reminded there will be road closures on the A338 next week.
Clean-up work and grass and vegetation cutting will take place on the A338 spur road between the Cooper Dean and Ashley Heath roundabouts from November 4.
Dorset Council will be carrying out the work, including litter picking; road sweeping; grass cutting; bridge inspections and repairs; gully clearing; and localised safety repairs to the carriageway.
The work will take place over four nights, with lane closures in place from 9pm to 6am.
Ashley Heath to Cooper Dean southbound will be closed overnight on Monday, November 4 and on Tuesday, November 5.
Cooper Dean to Ashley Heath northbound will be closed overnight on Wednesday, November 6 and on Thursday, November 7.
The carriageways will be fully open to vehicles daily.
Dorset Council works with BCP Council to carry out the twice-yearly clean-up, benefiting drivers and safeguarding the environment. The night-time closures aim to keep disruption to a minimum.
The recommended diversion route will be signposted. National regulations state traffic must be diverted onto roads with the same classification as the one that is closed.
